I guess by now everyone has already heard of trend with fitness bands, right? Fitness trackers are one of the most purchased devices in wearable tech, mostly because they are practical and affordable. They appeal to those looking for a fitness basis or those simply wanting a smart watch. I  was personally lost in the beginning on why you would pay so much (some are quite high I think) to simply count your steps!

Now, that being said, I was a little excited to get to review the Q-66HR band now, had it have been a few years back, like I said I didn’t get it! It wasn’t till last year that I realized that things needed to change. My husband & I were not living a very healthy lifestyle and we spent way to much money on junk food on top of that so we began to take tiny steps to start living better, healthier  and more frugally green. This was last summer so we spent a lot of time outdoors (kept moving) and started growing our first garden which was really fun. I can’t wait to get started this year! I think this review comes at a perfect time, because before I didn’t pay attention to what all the fitness bands do and wasn’t ready to get serious about getting healthy.

Pros

Waterproof

Works with any Android smart phone with bluetooth and iPhone 4s or later. They have a complete list of phones & devices supported

Comes with USB charger

You simply download and install the i-gotU Life app and you have all your info & can check your stats on your phone and not have to sign into a website (the app is free)

Watch band is reversible (one side is black/other camo)

Enables you to track your steps and calories

Has sleep mode which tracks your sleep patterns with a detailed report on deep sleep, light sleep, REM and awake time. It notifies you if you need more sleep

It shows your heart rate. You know that if you are in a certain zone, you are burning more calories

After connecting it to my tablet it notified me by flashing of missed calls, emails and proper social media based on my settings

Takes about 2 hours to fully charge then seems to last about a week before needing to be recharged

Cons

The number one complaint I have is that your phone has to be within range of the Q Band for it to be effective

The snap closure does not seem to be very secure after first use

I had a little trouble getting to charge at first, not sure what the problem was

The design. Not very impressive but it is built to last not be pretty I guess!

My Thoughts

After discovering what the watch is capable of doing I am much more impressed with the fitness band. The Q-66HR Band does pretty much everything it claims to do. I see now why people love these things. I think it the heart rate monitoring definitely encourages you to push on and keep going when you’re seeing actual results. Though there is a few cons, the Q Band is worth its price in value and function.
